Softball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale's last matchup with Gordonsville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. Riverdale came up short against Gordonsville, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-10 on March 6th.

This is the second loss in a row for Riverdale and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Gordonsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Riverdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-9 loss against Deshler on the 24th. As for Gordonsville, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Harbor Creek on the 28th.
