Jefferson led Southern in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on South Region 2.
The Huskies' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Robert Heu threw for 30 yards and Jonathan Zamora had 20 yards receiving. On the ground Heu chipped in 23 yards. Eduardo Gil helped South Region 2's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.
South Region 2's Ramon Gamez and Zamora have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gamez has thrown for 34 yards this season, while Zamora, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has one catch for 20 yards. The Democrats' Marcus Stamps leads the league in rushing yards with 482.
Fremont made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,976 from 9,380. The improvement was the result of 46-6 victory over Los Angeles last week.
