Football Recap: Hillcrest Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Hillcrest kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Logan Grizzlies 47-14. The Huskies lost against the Grizzlies in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 30-27 score last time.

Although Hillcrest took the loss, they still got scores from Grady Court and Charlie Brown.

Easton Favero was nothing short of spectacular for Logan: he threw for 214 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. That's the most passing touchdowns Favero has posted since back in August of 2024.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-34 defeat against Union on the 22nd. As for Logan, they have also already played their next match, a 54-19 loss against Granger on the 22nd.
