Softball Game Preview: Goldthwaite Eagles vs. Junction Eagles

Goldthwaite will take on Junction at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Goldthwaite has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Goldthwaite and Harper had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles lost 18-5 to the Longhorns on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Junction came up short against Harper last Thursday and fell 7-4.

Goldthwaite's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Everything went Goldthwaite's way against Junction in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Goldthwaite made off with a 12-2 victory. Will Goldthwaite repeat their success, or does Junction has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
