Volleyball Recap: Buena Beats Sabino for Their Fifth Straight Win

Buena entered their tilt with Sabino on Friday with four consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Sabercats by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Gracelyn Kelsay paced Buena's offense, picking up five kills. Kelsay were helped by Cassandra Comolli and Mariana Bowers, who contributed eight assists each. Comolli was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Buena's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Buena has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Rincon/University on the 29th. As for Sabino, they will take on ALA - West Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
