Softball Game Preview: Millis Mohawks vs. Holliston Panthers

Millis is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Holliston an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Millis Mohawks will welcome the Holliston Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Millis hadn't beaten Medway on the road since May 18, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Mohawks walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Holliston made sure to put some runs up on the board against Westwood on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Wolverines. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Emily Hegerich made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Hegerich was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skylar MacDonald, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Claire Radcliffe, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Millis back to even at 3-3. As for Holliston, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
