Volleyball Recap: Chillicothe Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chillicothe waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Cameron Dragons 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chillicothe walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-18.

Emerson Staton paced Chillicothe's offense, picking up 19 kills. Staton got some help from Carman Woodworth and her 37 assists. Staton also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kami Snyder, each putting up five.

Chillicothe's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Cameron, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Chillicothe has already played their next match (against Trenton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cameron, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against East Buchanan on the 4th.
