Softball Recap: Greens Farms Academy Gets the Win

Greens Farms Academy never got on the board in their matchup last Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Weston on Monday. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 19-10 win. Considering the Dragons' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Izzy Kittredge was a standout: she scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Devin Lee, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Greens Farms Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Greens Farms Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Canterbury School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Weston, they will face off against Stamford at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
