Softball Recap: PikeView Panthers vs. Greenbrier East Spartans
PikeView had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Greenbrier East Spartans on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four games in a row.

Shelby Maddox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
