Softball Game Preview: Legacy Christian Academy Knights vs. Yellow Springs Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Legacy Christian Academy will face off against Yellow Springs. The Knights will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Legacy Christian Academy has three straight victories, Yellow Springs has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Legacy Christian Academy made easy work of Yellow Springs and carried off a 20-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Legacy Christian Academy let Lizzie Miller and Ali Solomon run wild. Miller got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and four runs, while Solomon went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those six RBI gave Miller a new career-high. Emily McFadden was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and one double.

Legacy Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .419 or higher in five consecutive games.

Yellow Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Legacy Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
