Volleyball Recap: Rocky Ford Comes Up Short

Rocky Ford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Meloneers of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Rocky Ford took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-27, 25-21, 15-8.

Rocky Ford's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Thomas MacLaren School, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Rocky Ford will face off against La Junta at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thomas MacLaren School, they are taking a road trip to challenge Calhan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
