Volleyball Game Preview: Huntington Highlanders vs. Wayne Pioneers

The Huntington Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Wayne Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Huntington can't be too worried about heading out to take on Wayne: they just beat Poca at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Highlanders came out on top against the Dots by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.

Huntington easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Wayne beat Nicholas County 2-0 last Saturday.

Huntington's record now sits at 7-11-2. As for Wayne, their record is now 8-19-1.

Huntington took their win against Wayne in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Highlanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
