Volleyball Recap: Trinity Academy Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Trinity Academy walked away with it. They won by a set and slipped past the Cheney Cardinals 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Audrey Smith paced Trinity Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Smith got some help from Grace Barrett and her 23 assists.

Despite the loss, Cheney still got an impressive performance from Kenadi Thome, who had 24 digs and two aces. Thome is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Trinity Academy's victory bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Cheney, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 26-11 record.

Looking ahead, Trinity Academy will face off against Ellsworth at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Cheney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
