Lake Park faced Lane Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lancers fell just short of the Champions by a score of 2-1. The Lancers' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lake Park's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Lane Tech, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Coming up, Lake Park will take on Oswego in a tournament on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
