Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. El Dorado Golden Hawks
Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 69-42 loss at the hands of the El Dorado Golden Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Sundevils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 735th, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 172nd).

Despite the loss, Mt. Carmel still got an impressive performance from Tyler Humphrey, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 14 points and five boards. Humphrey is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Blaine Raagas was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.
Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for El Dorado, their record now sits at 14-3.
Mt. Carmel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-41 victory against Cerritos on the 28th. As for El Dorado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-51 loss against Rancho Bernardo on the 28th.
