Lockport waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They had just enough and edged out the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers 6-4. That's more bragging rights for the Porters, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Emmett O'Keefe looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jack Schiek was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Connor Ryan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Lockport's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Lockport will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bradley-Bourbonnais: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
