Recap: Xenia Buccaneers vs. Piqua Indians
The Xenia Buccaneers lost to the Piqua Indians back in January of 2022, but the Xenia Buccaneers didn't allow the Piqua Indians the same satisfaction on Saturday. Xenia took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 65-38 victory over Piqua. With that win, Xenia brought their scoring average up to 55.5 points per game.
Xenia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nataiya Madison, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayler Elliott, who scored 20 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Xenia and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Piqua, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Xenia will be playing in front of their home fans against Sidney at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piqua will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Butler at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
