Recap: Whale Branch Warriors vs. Beaufort Eagles
The Whale Branch Warriors were the 62-59 winner over the Beaufort Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Whale Branch was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 55-54 to Beaufort.
Despite the loss, Whale Branch still got an impressive performance from Greggory Gilbert, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. Gilbert hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradford Thompson, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Whale Branch's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Beaufort, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Whale Branch will head out on the road to face off against Battery Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beaufort, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on May River at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. May River and Beaufort are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
