Corbyn Jakub's Big Game Leads Rock Port over Mound City
Corbyn Jakub's big game helped extend Rock Port's winning streak to seven on Friday. Mound City had no answer to Jakub as he rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Mound City, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Jakub. Jakub rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Holmes As Rock Port Won 46-16
Brock Holmes was instrumental in extending Rock Port's winning streak to seven on Friday. Holmes turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while also picking up 51 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 50 yards.
For the year, Holmes has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 26 receiving yards per game.

Irvine rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the year, Irvine has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 15.9 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to two.

On Friday, East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] got the W thanks in part to River Dow playing the best football he has all season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending a pass.
