Football Recap: Manchester Piles Up the Points Against Fairless

Manchester hadn't beaten Fairless on the road since October 11, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Panthers breezed past the Falcons to the tune of 42-13. Considering the Panthers have won four matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Phillip Partin had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 320 yards and four scores while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Manchester also got a significant boost from Ayden Meade, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Manchester was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 440 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Manchester's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece ( Merrik Baker and Brody Soles also recorded half a sack).

The win made it two in a row for Manchester and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Fairless, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Manchester will face off against Triway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 28.6 points per game this season. As for Fairless, they will challenge Canton South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
