Volleyball Recap: Pacelli Takes a Loss

Pacelli entered their matchup against Amherst on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cardinals fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Pacelli actually scored more points across those five sets (109-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-13.

Pacelli's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Amherst, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Pacelli will venture away from home to take on Wild Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amherst, they will welcome Menominee Nation at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
