Aldine is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Spring is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mustangs will welcome the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Aldine is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Eisenhower on Thursday as they made off with a 23-8 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Isaiah Nunez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Velez, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI.
Aldine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eisenhower only posted an OBP of .406.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Spring faced off against Nimitz on Thursday. The Lions blew past the Cougars 12-2.
Jesus Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Moises Arb, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Travis Ellis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Spring's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Aldine, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Aldine has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .482. However, it's not like Spring struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Aldine's way against Spring when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Aldine made off with a 13-5 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
