Baseball Recap: Clarksville Academy Finds Home Field Redemption Against Goodpasture Christian

There's no place like home for Clarksville Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Goodpasture Christian by a score of 8-4 on Monday. For Clarksville Academy, this counts as revenge for the 5-1 victory Goodpasture Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Evan Ozolins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Floyd Dodwell was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Colton Wallace was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Clarksville Academy pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Goodpasture Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
