Basketball Recap: Manhattan Comes Up Short

Manhattan lost against Emporia on February 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Manhattan Indians were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to the Emporia Spartans. The Indians' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Manhattan's record now sits at 6-14. As for Emporia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manhattan will face off against Washburn Rural at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Emporia, they will challenge Junction City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Emporia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
