Volleyball Recap: Somerville Comes Up Short

If Somerville was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lynn English on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highlanders lost 3-0 to the Medford Mustangs on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Highlanders have suffered since April 11th.

Somerville's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Medford, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Somerville will be playing in front of their home fans against Billerica Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Medford, they will host Chelsea at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
