Basketball Recap: Crisp County Takes a Loss

Crisp County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cook Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-31 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Crisp County still got an impressive performance from Miranda Moore, who posted four points in addition to 12 boards and six blocks. Moore has been hot, having posted three or more blocks the last eight times she's played. Mariyah Chambers was another key player, putting up seven points.

Crisp County's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Cook, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Crisp County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-31 defeat against Dooly County on the 31st. As for Cook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 75-49 loss against Appling County on the 30th.
