Soccer Game Preview: Cedar Park vs. Lockhart

The Cedar Park Timberwolves will challenge the Lockhart Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cedar Park gave up the first goal on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged Rouse out 2-1. The result kept the Timberwolves happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 17th.

Meanwhile, Lockhart was able to grind out a solid win over Hays on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Hawks are ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lockhart hit Hays with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Raul Figueroa, Anthony Daniel, and Evan Estrada.

Cedar Park is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Lockhart, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.
