Baseball Recap: Braintree Comes Up Short

If Braintree was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Hingham on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wamps fell 5-2 to the Needham Rockets on Monday. The Wamps were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 13-1.

Braintree's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Needham, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Coincidentally, Braintree and Needham will both be playing Milton the next time they take the field. The Rockets will host the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wamps will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
