The Tradition Prep Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the South Fork Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tradition Prep has three straight victories, South Fork has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Tradition Prep lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lake Worth, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. The Pirates never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Pirates have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sebastian Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. He has become a key player for Tradition Prep: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-8 otherwise.
In other pitching news, Tyler Hagan looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Tradition Prep let Aliet Garcia and Jack Greene run wild. Garcia scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Greene scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Tradition Prep is undefeated when Greene posts two or more runs, but 1-8 otherwise.
Meanwhile, South Fork has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.59 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against Martin County, falling 11-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since March 26, 2024.
South Fork also got a good showing from Jackson Turull, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, South Fork saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Dennis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Tradition Prep, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Tradition Prep might still be hurting after the 13-7 loss they got from South Fork in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
