Soccer Game Preview: Westmoore vs. Union

Westmoore is 0-3 against Union since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Jaguars will host the Redhawks at 7:05 p.m.

Westmoore is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Bixby, who was ranked first at the time (Westmoore was ranked fourth). The Jaguars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans last Friday. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Westmoore's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Union earned a 3-1 win over Sapulpa on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Union.

Union's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four matchups. As for Westmoore, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-3.

Westmoore might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Union in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
