Springfield Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Lakecrest Baptist is ranked 121st).
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Springfield Christian Academy beat Juniata Christian 50-45. The victory was just what Springfield Christian Academy needed coming off of a 69-40 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Lakecrest Baptist stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Immanuel Baptist as Lakecrest Baptist made off with a 56-33 win. 56 seems to be a good number for Lakecrest Baptist as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
The victory got Springfield Christian Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Lakecrest Baptist, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Springfield Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 68-28 defeat at the hands of Lakecrest Baptist when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Springfield Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
