Basketball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs vs. Cary Christian Knights
The Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cary Christian. Wake Christian Academy has struggled against the Knights recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Wake Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ava Wulf scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Lane Caruso, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Wake Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Cary Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Christian Academy will square off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully St. David's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Cary Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against the Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
