Basketball Recap: Lake Creek Beats Crosby for Their Third Straight Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lake Creek walked away with it. They snuck past the Crosby Cougars with a 58-53 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three contests in a row.

It was another big night for Jay Mcshan, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Axel Anderson, who put up 11 points.

Lake Creek's victory bumped their record up to 19-16. As for Crosby, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-14.

Looking ahead, Lake Creek will square off against Beaumont United at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season. Crosby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
