Volleyball Recap: Wendover Comes Up Short

Wendover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Tabiona Tigers. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-8.

Tabiona found their leader in sophomore Bella Gines, who had nine assists and three aces.

Wendover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Tabiona, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tabiona beat Wendover by a score of 3-0 later that day.
