Overton won the last time they faced Memphis East and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 11-2 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by nine runs or more this season.

Nehemiah Diggs was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Julian Tallent was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Overton pushed their record up to 9-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Memphis East, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Overton will take on Bolton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Memphis East, they will host Cordova at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
