La Salle beats The Dalles for their sixth straight win

Recap: La Salle Falcons vs. The Dalles Riverhawks

The La Salle Falcons had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The Dalles 38-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for La Salle, who have now won four matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

La Salle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grant Ellison led the charge by rushing for 26 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 68 receiving yards. Justin "JJ" Kuunifaa got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

La Salle's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 Centennial and 2-6 Parkrose (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.9% over those games). As for The Dalles, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

La Salle will look to defend their home field on Friday against Gladstone/Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. As for The Dalles, they will head out on the road to face off against Estacada at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Estacada is ranked 88th, while The Dalles is ranked 105th).
