Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Belton Pirates, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-12.

Maggie Adams paced Central's offense, picking up six kills. Adams got some help from Hayden Root and her eight assists. Root was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Belton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Excelsior Springs on the 9th. As for Belton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Platte County on the 9th.
