Preview: Lone Tree vs. Winfield-Mt. Union
After two weeks on the road, Winfield-Mt. Union is heading back home. On Friday they take on Lone Tree at 7:00 PM. Lone Tree will be strutting in after a win while Winfield-Mt. Union will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Things haven't been easy for Winfield-Mt. Union, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were given a punishing 6-50 loss at the hands of WACO.
Meanwhile, Lone Tree have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took the game and then some with a 57-0 victory last Friday over Tri-County.the rankings were on Lone Tree's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result
Winfield-Mt. Union's loss took them down to 1-7 while Lone Tree's win pulled them up to 2-5. Lone Tree have been dynamite on the offensive side of the ball, averaging 32.29 points per game. We'll see if Winfield-Mt. Union can find some way to disarm them.
