On Thursday, Coahulla Creek didn't have quite enough to beat LaFayette and fell 2-1. While the Colts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Ramblers 25-19 in the first set.
Coahulla Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-10, 15-6.
Meanwhile, North Murray entered their tilt with Gordon Central on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Warriors. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 7, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: North Murray took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-7.
North Murray's win bumped their record up to 9-28. As for Coahulla Creek, they now have a losing record of 19-20.
