Wheeler is 6-0 against Osborne since September of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Wheeler is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Washington 25-8 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Emily Jansen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wheeler was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .607. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Osborne fell victim to Paulding County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 18-0 to the Patriots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Wheeler's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Osborne, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything went Wheeler's way against Osborne in their previous meeting back in October of 2023 as Wheeler made off with a 16-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wheeler since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
