Basketball Recap: Noble-Whitley Warriors' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Wednesday, Noble-Whitley Warriors came back down to earth. Noble-Whitley Warriors took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Capital HomeSchool on Saturday. Noble-Whitley Warriors has struggled against Capital HomeSchool recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Noble-Whitley Warriors saw an underclassman step up: freshman Clare A. almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. A. has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Areina B., who shot 45% from the field en route to 10 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Noble-Whitley Warriors fell to 2-1.

Noble-Whitley Warriors wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-30 win against Kalamazoo HomeSchool on the 15th. As for Capital HomeSchool, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Washtenaw Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 6.
