Basketball Recap: West Burlington Beats Mt. Pleasant for Their Third Straight Win

West Burlington had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 42-34 win over the Mt. Pleasant Panthers. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 48-29 loss the last time these two teams met.

West Burlington's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

West Burlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-41 win against West Branch on the 15th. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will take on Keokuk on February 19th. Keokuk knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Mt. Pleasant likes a good challenge.
