Basketball Recap: Watford City Comes Up Short

Watford City was the 72-59 winner over Minot when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Watford City Wolves fell 56-44 to the Minot Magicians on Monday.

Watford City has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Minot, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watford City will host Dickinson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Minot, they will take on Mandan at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Minot's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
