Softball Recap: Suffern Mounties vs. Nanuet Golden Knights
Suffern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Nanuet Golden Knights, falling 16-4. If the Mounties were looking for revenge after losing 21-2 to the Golden Knights when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Suffern saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Berlow, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Sarah Walker also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Suffern's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Nanuet, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.
Looking ahead, Suffern will venture away from home to square off against Nyack at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Nanuet, they will welcome Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
