KIPP Esperanza had won two straight games and Eddie Whiteside did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Eagles walked away with a 45-34 victory over the San Francisco Christian Trojans thanks in part to Whiteside, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 20 rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

KIPP Esperanza's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. KIPP Esperanza won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Granada Islamic School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Francisco Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pacific Bay Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. The contest will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
