Volleyball Recap: Landstown Eagles vs. Bayside Marlins        
        
		
             It was a good run, but  Landstown unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bayside Marlins by a score of  3-2. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marlins apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in September.
 Landstown actually scored more points across those five sets (107-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 14-25, 25-22, 18-25,  15-12.
  Iana Figueroa paced Landstown's offense, picking up ten kills. Figueroa got some help from 
 Kailyn Johnson and her 17 assists. Finally,  Figueroa was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.
 Landstown's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Bayside, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record  this season.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Kempsville the next time they take the court. Landstown will head out to face Kempsville at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday, while Bayside will head out to face them  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
