Westmoreland waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Macon County Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Westmoreland was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-11, 25-12.

Westmoreland's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Macon County, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Westmoreland will challenge rival White House-Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Macon County is set to face off against their familiar foe Liberty Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
