Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Area Falcons vs. North Rangers

Jefferson Area was the 3-2 winner over North when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Jefferson Area Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Rangers on Saturday.

Jefferson Area was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 19 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19.

North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lacey Staska out in front who had six digs and 19 assists. Staska is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 19 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Mitchell, who had nine digs.

Jefferson Area's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for North, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

Jefferson Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win vs. Madison on the 28th. North has also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Berkshire on the 28th.
