Basketball Recap: Marquette Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Marquette had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They beat the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 57-45. The win was nothing new for the Defenders as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Marquette's victory bumped their record up to 28-1. As for Gladbrook-Reinbeck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-6.

Marquette has already played their next match, a 59-57 defeat against Madrid on the 14th. Gladbrook-Reinbeck does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
