Baseball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

Westside had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-7 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Hector Wildcats by a score of 15-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered since April 8, 2025.

As for Hector, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 10, 2025.

For Hector's part, Hudson McAlister was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that McAlister has hit this season. David Warren was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Westside will head out to challenge Union Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hector, they will be playing at home against Acorn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
